My Name Is Nthebe Wa Molope, I Herald From Moruleng A Seemingly Sleepy Yet Bucolic Area That Has Years Of Histories Lying Beneath Its Surface. I First Ventured Into The World Of Writing As A Form Of Cathartic Healing Following My Divorce And The Sudden Departure To The Greater Beyond Of My Niece Motshabi And My Sister Grace (Ous G) In Rapid Succession In 2015 And 2017 Respectively, Ensconced Me To Channel My Energies Accordingly. Writing History Is An Exercise Of Power, As Vindicated In The Story Contained In The Various Books, As It Does Not Only Interrogate Tradition, However, It Also Takes Us On A Jou ey Through History. The Histories I Pen, Traverse Different Parts Of The Continent And Unveil Some Of The Overlooked Anecdotes Whilst Reawakening Our Somewhat Slumbering Souls. I Believe That In Having Taken Up This Jou ey I Am Only But Fulfilling A Passion Which My Father Had By Never Managed To Pursue As He Was A Great Wordsmith With A Natural Affinity For Different Languages. Given “SA’s History”, Most Books Either On Larger-than-life Figures Such As King Mzilikazi KaMashobane And Other Histories, Were Written By Missionaries And Anthropologists Who Were Not Steeped In The Experiences Of The Cultures And Traditions Of Their Subject Matter. Thus Part Of The Greater Objective Is To Correct These Narratives. Knowledge Redress And Re-historicization Are Greatly Needed Even In Universities For True De-coloniality. These Books Bring Together Official, Formal, And Sometimes Inaccurate Accounts Of History And Historical Figures, With Oral, Personal, Researched Narratives.
